I blame Logan Couture for the Kings loss

Jonathan Quick – Although he only allowed the one goal in regulation, he lost his composure after the Sharks game winner by breaking his stick and screaming at the officials, earning him a game misconduct.

Quick was pissed that he was interfered with numerous times and told the refs countless times and was ignored. He figured if you're not going to call those you shouldn't call the Lewis penalty.

Not complaining, but there was the pretty clever elbow by Burns early in the 3rd that stopped play but no penalty...and in the crease.

You won game 2 not because of the penalties called at the end (they were penalties) but because of the penalty not called with 3:30 to go when Couture was mugged behind your net. The refs do their jobs then there is no 5-3 and the Sharks likely leave town with a win.

Also the pretender and contender segment is a joke. Quick a pretender? How about Stuart for assisting on Toffoli's goal? Esplen was right, blogging only after you win in the playoffs, fairweather as hell.

I'm from Montreal and have been to 7 Cup parades (71, 73, 76,77, 78, 79 and 86), I think I know what it takes to win. Agree with you that in the end all that matters is that you win and that no team wins without overcoming adversity. That can be injuries, penalties, bad bounces, they all happen in a Cup run.

For the record I never complained about the officiating after game 2. I only spoke up after reading about the complaints by Penner and Quick.

I wouldn't go that far though.

This series is playing out as most thought. A home win series, relying on special teams. Sharks won for going 2-4 on the pp, LA 0-2. The Lewis call was completely legit in my eyes, so kudos to SJ for getting it done in OT.

1st loss in 7 games for LA, not too worried. Good series so far, we shall see on tuesday.
